Is this for life?

Image
I have been getting a lot of questions about Litfulo and how long you need to be on it. As far as I know from the specialists and the research I have done it seems to be a medication you take for life. A few people have taken it and stopped and within weeks they have gone back to been bald or having significant hair loss again. I can only speak for myself when I say this medication has been a miracle for me, having hair again is helping my confidence return and I have had zero side effects. Don’t get me wrong it’s scary but the only thing I am scared of is been taken off the tablets. I honestly don’t think I could cope if that was to happen. Despite been on Litfulo I still constantly check for shredding and touch wood, so far, nothing but every day is a battle of hope and despair. This medication has been a dream come true for me. I just hope and prey I will continue the way I am. God bless to you all, reach out if you need me.   Dare to dream xxxx

Nearly a year. WOW!

Hi everyone, I know I’m usually really positive and happy about things but I’m having a bit of a bad week this week. I’ve been looking at the pictures and it’s like will my hair ever grow back properly? I just want to have hair at the top of my head and I’m scared they’re gonna take me off the medication and that is the most petrifying to me. I really really need to be on this medication because it has changed my life. I know if I stopped taking it I’m gonna be bald within probably a month maybe longer, I don’t know but just having the hair I’ve got right now means so much to me and I just want to be normal, is it wrong that I want to be a normal person again, people without hair loss will not understand this at all. NO HATE PLEASE!. People say “oh it’s just hair”.  no it’s not just hair is an amazing thing which most people do not and hopefully will never understand. I love the fact that I have eyebrows I have an eyelashes which I have not had for so long and the thought of...

Month 7 update

Hi guys. It’s now almost 7 months since starting Litfulo and still taking daily with no side effects which is great.   I have good    hair growth overall however for some reason there is minimal regrowth at the top but everywhere else is growing beautifully. I am going to be asking about  minoxidil at my next appointment as I have done research and chatted to you lovely people on my Facebook group and been told that this helps when taken at the alongside Litfulo. With a bit of luck it will start to fill in the gaps. As you can see from the pictures it is slowly growing into the middle but I can’t help looking at myself and thinking I look like a middle aged man!!. Why does this condition cause stress within stress? I am now panicking that when I see the dermatologist next month they will say it’s not enough and take me off the medication. The rest of my head is doing really well and growing thick and fast. I just prey the top will catch up.  On the bright...

News about potential cure

Found this new article which may be of interest reference below xxxx New treatment could reverse hair loss caused by an autoimmune skin disease A microneedle patch that delivers immune-regulating molecules can teach T cells not to attack hair follicles, helping hair to regrow.   Next Researchers at MIT, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School have developed a potential new treatment for alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss and affects people of all ages, including children. For most patients with this type of hair loss, there is no effective treatment. The team developed a microneedle patch that can be painlessly applied to the scalp and releases drugs that help to rebalance the immune response at the site, halting the autoimmune attack. In a study of mice, the researchers found that this treatment allowed hair to regrow and dramatically reduced inflammation at the treatment site, while avoiding systemic immune effects elsewhere in t...

It is not great in the pictures but it’s there and for some reason it’s circling towards the middle the back and sides is doing really well so let’s hope the middle catches up soon  has anyone else noticed growth like this?  Dare to dream xxxx
